Fat Purple Figs

Netflix sent me a nice email today saying that in January they were going to raise the price of my current plan from $8.99 to $9.99. OK but why Netflix? What am I getting for this tiny price increase? Well you don't get anything but you do have another option. Apparently because instant viewing is so popular it gets its own plan now, for just $7.99, that doesn't include getting any DVDs in the mail. Well that my friends is awesome because I watch a good 10 hours of streaming movies/tv shows a week from Netflix but I only get one DVD every few months. (That's not at the fault of Netflix, I could have one every other day if I wanted. I just get them, forget about them, and then mail them back months later never having watched them.) So as you can see this new plan is perfect for me and I went ahead and switched. So now I get unlimited streaming video and I save a dollar a month.

Netflix gets an A++ from me today.

Someone on tumblr just posted a Paula Deen recipe for hot cranberry cider and now I want some. But, unfortunately, I am at work without any of the necessary ingredients. I do, however, have a jug of apple cider from the local orchard in our office fridge. Score!

Also I just posted this as my FB status but there's no reason I can't repeat it here: I'm so very tempted to select my Christmas playlist on Pandora but I refuse to do so until after Thanksgiving. All bets are off Friday though; I will be listening to holiday tunes, drinking hot cranberry cider (sans alcohol), and putting up my pink Christmas tree and otherwise decorating my office all day.
